What Equipment and Supplies Do You Use For Treatment?
Chiropractors (DC) use many supplies, instruments and equipment to provide services to patients each day. These include chiropractic tables, machines, diagnostic equipment and sensors. They can also range from air bars and foot pedals to drop tables and monitors. Pillows, carts, massage tables and acupuncture needles are also needed.
Who May Require the Use of Chiropractic Care?
Those injured in car or other accidents, or who have been hurt on the job, may require regular chiropractic care to restore their bodies to normal functioning. Those who wake up with stuff necks or who are prone to chronic lower back pain may also need the services of a chiropractor. Older adults suffering from arthritis commonly visit chiropractors, too.
What Can I Expect During a Visit?
If it’s your first visit, after providing your insurance information, the chiropractor will sit down with you for a health history assessment. He or she will gather all information on your health background along with detailed information on what the problem is. He or she should perform a thorough exam, then suggest treatment, which may or may not occur at that initial visit.
